Featured Animal - Tiger Salamander
Tiger Salamanders are large, robust salamanders reaching average total lengths up to 8.5 inches, though some individuals over 12 inches long have been found. Outside of the breeding season they are seldom seen, as they spend most of their time underground, often in mammal burrows. Start with a 10gal tank. Use a large bowl filled with moss for burrowing. A smaller bowl of fresh water for swimming should be provided at all times. Keep the tank between 65 and 72 degrees. Feed crickets, earthworms or mice pinkies.
